Blog Entry #5.9B - Evaluation
Bristol Palin on Abstinence
Target audience:
teenagers that are sexually active or just teenagers in generall
Tagline:
pause before you play
Message:
think before you have sex because the consequences might be very severe and might damage you life
Sound used:
baby lullabies and at the end the lullaby started getting messed up and distorted
Visual imagery used:
they had pictures of the baby and her family helping her out they had graduation pictures of her they also had her and her baby looking very nice at the beginning of the PSA and at the end she was looking bad and so was her baby.

How did you feel when viewing this PSA? What were your emotions?
i felt like this was a very powerful PSA just because having a baby at a young age could happen to anybody even famous people like bristol palin so it made me feel proud in a sense that someone is actually speaking out and spreading the word that having a kid at an early age its hard.
What action do you feel you need to take after viewing this PSA?
i feel like i have to protect myself and be more aware and responsible when it comes to things like having sex because things like that can cause a lot of damage.
What is one specific change that would make this PSA more effective?
i think that this PSA is affective and i dont know what they can possibly do to change this PSA to make it any better

using drugs not only affects your body it affects your family and everything else that has to do with you.

breaking things,like the sound are of things being thrown and being broken.
Visual imagery used:
smashing things, breaking plates and using an egg to describe the human brain.
Text used:
partnership for a drug-free America

i felt very connected to this PSA because it was very powerful and it showed what happens to your life metaphorically. it made think about how people on drugs might feel.
What action do you feel you need to take after viewing this PSA?
I feel like i have to try my best to stay away from drugs and try my best to help those who i love that use drugs.
What is one specific change that would make this PSA more effective?
instead of using and egg to describe the human brain you could of used a real brain and how it is affected by drugs, like pictures and videos.

It means a lot to me because i have friends and family that are gay or lesbian and i think its unfair how people act and judge them based on their sexual orientation and i think people have to be tolerant when it comes to things like same sex relationships.

Gay, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and some teens.

It can make religious people angry and make them want to protest because they believe that same sex relationships are wrong.
